Coupled with revitalizing the aging home sector, we are also focused on creating new efficiencies in land use available under the Small Lot Ordinance to alleviate the lack of affordable housing in highly urbanized areas and to accommodate the projected regional population growth of + 15% by mid-2020.

Meet The Team
Vice President, Development
Daniel Saldana serves as Vice President, Development where he oversees all redevelopment, development and capital improvement project for Avenue Homes. Prior to the formation of Avenue Homes, Mr. Saldana served as Vice President, Construction of Avenue Homes predecessor, The Run Group, and was focused on all budgeting, entitlement and operational activities. Mr. Saldana has worked in senior management positions at Pacifica and Home Crete Homes and is a licensed General Contractor who has built hundreds of homes valued in excess of $250M.
Vice President, Construction
Experienced General Contractor with executive level tenure at Pacific Bay, Davidon Homes and Westbrook where he successfully managed the construction of over 1k homes. Mark leads all construction field operations.
Vice President, Construction Operations
Will Kemper serves as Vice President, Construction Operation and oversees the construction operations at Avenue Homes. Mr. Kemper is responsible for production output, bid buyout, budget and inventory management and quality assurance. Prior to Avenue Homes, Mr. Kemper served as Regional Manager at Lender’s Realty where he was responsible for the acquisition and repositioning of a high-volume portfolio of approximately 15 new single family home constructions monthly.
Mr. Kemper also has an extensive background in executive level operations roles in the manufacturing industry with over a decade of tenure at Pak Industries. Mr. Kemper is a graduate from Pierce College
Partner \ Business Development
Former NFL Quarterback with extensive broadcast and networking experience. Mr. Leinart is a founding investor in Avenue Homes. As a Partner, Matt is focused on strategic partnerships and business development for all business lines.
In 2004, he was named that year's winner of the Heisman Trophy, and led the USC Trojans to the BCS national championship. After graduation, he was the 10th overall pick of the 1st round of the 2006 NFL draft, subsequently joining the Arizona Cardinals. After a successful 8-year career in the NFL, Mr. Leinart transitioned into broadcasting journalism and currently serves as a Studio Analyst on the college football desk at Fox Sport. Concurrent with his professional sports and broadcasting careers, Mr. Leinart has been an active real estate investor in the Los Angeles market.
Mr. Leinart graduated with a degree in Sociology from the University of Southern California and is a licensed Realtor.
Partner \ Capital Markets
Creative real estate professional specializing in capital-raising services, deal acquisition and investor relations with management experience at the Surnow Company and Seligman Western Enterprises. Adam oversees the capital raising efforts for Avenue Homes. Prior to Avenue Homes, Mr. Surnow served as Founder and Managing Partner at ARS Management, a real estate firm focused on acquiring long term investment properties and developing single family homes in Los Angeles and Houston, TX. At ARS, he was responsible for JV business development, investor relations and all capital-raising efforts.
From 2008 through 2011, Adam oversaw the day-to-day operations, management, budgeting, and capital expenditures for a $500M multi-tenant industrial/office portfolio in Orange County and negotiated $50M in leasing revenue.
Mr. Surnow holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Michigan State University.
Co-Founder \ Acquisitions
Raul Menjivar serves as Vice President, Investments, overseeing Avenue Homes acquisition and disposition activities and leading the underwriting of all investment strategy for the company. Mr. Menjivar is a seasoned developer who has successfully completed over 150 projects and $200M in redevelopment projects. In addition to overseeing the research and analysis of potential acquisition opportunities, Mr. Menjivar also oversees construction scheduling and management of the firm’s in-development pipeline.
He received a Bachelor of Science from the University of San Jose.
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer of Avenue Homes, Michael oversees asset management, finance, fund performance, and corporate operations. He takes a hands-on, data-driven approach to real estate investing leveraging over 10 years of experience in acquisitions, asset management, and brokerage.
Michael was previously the Director of Asset Management at MJW Investments where he managed a $500M portfolio of multifamily, student housing, and retail value-add investments located throughout the United States. Additionally, he directed corporate operations including finance, accounting, and personnel.
Prior to MJW, Michael was a Director at Institutional Property Advisors (IPA) where he oversaw financial underwriting, market research, and marketing strategy for a top performing brokerage team in Southern California, directing over 175 transactions totaling over 15,000 units and $4 billion in value over his six-year tenure. Michael began his real estate career as an asset manager with JRK Property Holdings, the 15th largest apartment owner in the nation, where he managed a 5,000 unit multifamily portfolio consisting of market rate, student housing, senior housing, and LIHTC assets.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Psychology from Dartmouth College. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of California.
President \ Chief Investment Officer
Jason Glasgow leads all investment activities for Avenue Homes. Prior to Avenue Homes, Mr. Glasgow founded and remains a partner at Ground Matrix, a commercial real estate advisory firm responsible for the sale of over $6 billion in commercial and development assets over the past 15 years. Prior to forming Ground Matrix, he was responsible for the west coast development arm of Westbrook Partners, a top 10 global REPE firm. At Westbrook, he oversaw or directly participated in the development and construction of more than 1,500 homes, worth in excess of $1 billion. In addition, he was Managing Principal at Landcap Partners, a Goldman Sachs/Northstar distressed land platform, responsible for investing more than $400 million of equity in development assets across the West.
From 2001 through 2007, Jason managed the Los Angeles office of O’Donnell/Atkins, participating in some of the largest housing development transactions in LA and Orange County. While there, Jason led the team involved in over $1.2 billion in development transactions.
Mr. Glasgow earned his degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University, and his MBA in Real Estate Finance from the University of California. He is actively involved with the Urban Land Institute as a Council Member.
Co-Founder \ Chief Executive Officer
Brandon Hance serves as Chief Executive Officer and leads strategy, finance and operations for Avenue Homes. Before venturing into real estate development, he was a two-time tech entrepreneur that successfully sold his first business to Platinum Equity Partners and The Gores Group, and his second business to Zazzle.
Mr. Hance is an active community leader, and is the Chairman of the Los Angeles chapter of Gen Next, a network of leaders committed to identifying and solving generational challenges in economic growth, education and global security. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California and was a quarterback on the two-time national championship football team.
